Chiefs State They Are Aware of Alleged Abuse Allegations Involving Wide Receiver the Athlete

The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment on Wednesday evening confirming they are aware of domestic violence allegations circulated in online accounts by a ex-partner of player the athlete and were in communication with the league office.

The team did not mention the player by name in their announcement and said they would have “no further comment at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name Rice by name, shared a set of images on social media that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. She stated the person involved was the father of her children, and reports indicate she has two children with Rice, whom the Chiefs drafted in the 2023 draft.
